The Coral

Roots & Echoes is the record to remind you what a brilliant and unique band The Coral are. Its songs glow with warmth and heart, musicality and melody. Where previous Coral albums would descend into frantic jams, this one is less Beefheart and more Bacharach. "We've become better songwriters," says Skelly.

The Rascals

Taking a nod from the Liverpool music scene that they grew up in, The Rascals have an ear for beautiful pop melodies and an instinct for psychedelic quirk, however there's a unique and compelling dark soul that underlines their spirit. Though formed in May 2007, the Wirral-based trio of Miles Kane (guitar/vocals), Joe Edwards (bass) and Greg Mighall (drums), admit that having known each other since their youths there is already years of deep passion behind this band.

The Suzukis

The Suzukis are a real gang, it’s the classic case of the band against the world and this is their ticket out of town. The sheer power of their songs reflects this and will manifest itself in their huge wall of sound when they play in stadiums next year.

The Basement

In 2003, The Basement launched to a heap of praise from the UKs leading music press. In fact the whole country was a bit giddy for the fourpiece. Then The Basement disappeared. Little did we know that they were working night and day on Illicit Hugs and Playground Thugs, a debut album that is set to bring them back to forefront of the British Music scene.

The Dead 60s

Fast forward two years and The Dead 60s are set to release their second album. Recorded in New York based Noise Studio, and produced by David Kahne, (New Order, Regina Spektor, Fishbone, The Strokes), Time To Take Sides is a move on from the "nihilistic punk with an Arabian sounding Eastern disco edge" of the band's first album.

Candie Payne

So how does Candie Payne sound? Make no mistake this album is trenchantly modern, updating the sonic and stylistic tricks of decades past. There is a fresh and spontaneous sound to this record that stems largely from this 24 year olds passion for singing, music and recording.
